Why do I need a cookie banner?
To maintain GDPR compliance your website must display a cookie consent banner which allows the user to accept/decline the use of cookies while browsing your site.
The cookie banner needs to be installed in your website’s header in order for it to appear on all pages. There are two main ways of accomplishing this on WordPress, plugins and manually editing the code. The plugin method is generally recommended but you can choose the one to your comfort level. Note that you must have a business level or higher WordPress account to use plugins.
Step-by-Step
WordPress Plugins:
Navigate to the Plugins > Add New tab on the left navigation bar.
In the search bar, search for “insert headers and footers”.
Find the plugin, and click install.
Once it is finished installing, click activate.
Before adding your Enzuzo Cookie Banner to your site, make sure you configure it correctly in the cookie banner settings from the Enzuzo dashboard through the "Configure" page on the top nav.
Once you’ve customized your cookie banner to your liking, click “Add to Website” in the top nav.
On the "Add to Website" page, click the “Copy Code to Clipboard” button to copy the embed code snippet.
Back on WordPress, on the left navigation bar, navigate to Settings > Insert Headers and Footers.
Paste your copied cookie bar script from Enzuzo into the script editor titled “Scripts in Header”.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click save.
You are now done! If you navigate back to your store page, you will see the newly installed cookie banner.
