Date: January 2023
Enzuzo’s standard Privacy Policy template has been recently updated. This article will cover everything that you need to know about the policy changes we’ve made for 2023.

LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais), which covers Brazil, and went into effect August 16, 2020
PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents Act), which covers Canada and went into effect January 1, 2001
Our updated Privacy Policy is compliant for these data privacy laws:
CPRA (California Privacy Rights Act), which covers California and is an update to CCPA, takes effect January 1, 2023
VCDPA (Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act), which covers the state of Virginia, takes effect January 1, 2023
CDPA (Connecticut Data Privacy Act), which covers the state of Connecticut, takes effect July 1, 2023
CPA (Colorado Privacy Act), which covers the state of Colorado, takes effect July 1, 2023
UCPA (Utah Consumer Privacy Act), which covers the state of Utah, takes effect December 31, 2023
POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act), which covers South Africa, went into effect June 30, 2021
Additionally, new sections have been added to the Privacy Policy to cover the Privacy Shield framework and several smaller updates that keep our policy updated with new and changing regulations.
For existing customers using our hosted Privacy Policy
If you are an existing customer and you are using our hosted Privacy Policy on your website your privacy policy will automatically be updated to the new version. You’re previous questionnaire selections will also carry over to the new version.
Your policy will be set up in the same way, however we have added a few new privacy policy questions (questions 7, 9 and 15) that you should fill out to ensure your policy is complete. Please note all our policies are vetted by lawyers, including our updated Privacy Policy 2.0.
For existing customers using our copied and pasted Privacy Policy
If you are using our Privacy Policy and using the Copy and Paste feature you will need to answer the new privacy policy questions (questions 7, 9 and 15). The privacy policy has new language so you will have to generate another policy using the questionnaire and copy and paste it again to your website.
New Privacy Policy 2.0 language
You’ll also see new questions and policy sections in the updated Privacy Policy, which you can enable through a questionnaire (questions 7, 9 and 15). Please note: we will not automatically add new sections to your existing policy; you’ll have to go through the questionnaire and add those if they apply to your business.
