Why do I need a privacy policy?

Having a privacy policy on your website is a legally required document that’s essential for communicating how your business collects and uses your customer data. A privacy policy also helps your business stay compliant with data privacy laws, saving you from potential controversy and expensive fines.

Step-By-Step

  1. Before adding your Enzuzo Privacy Policy to your site, make sure you configure it correctly in the privacy policy settings of the Enzuzo dashboard.

  2. Once you’ve customized your privacy policy to your liking, scroll to the top of the page and click the grey “Install” button.

  3. Click on “Copy Auto Generated Privacy Policy Snippet”.

  4. From your Wix editor, on the top left of the screen, click “Add” and then “Page”.

  5. Scroll down and pick the “Blank” option.

  6. On the top left click “Add” again, then click “Section to Page”.

  7. Scroll down and pick the “HTML Embed” section. Choose one of the options.

  8. Edit the HTML Section and paste the code snippet that was taken from the Enzuzo App in step 3.

  9. Drag the sliders for Height and Width to their maximum, so that the Privacy Policy can fit neatly.

  10. Now to rename the new Blank Page that was created, click the “Page: Blank Page” on the upper left hand corner of the screen. This brings up the “Manage Pages” screen.

  11. On Manage Pages, click the gear icon beside the Blank Page, and rename it to “Privacy Policy”.

  12. If you would like to remove the Privacy Policy page link from the top banner on the home screen, then click “Edit Menu”, and press “Hide Item”. (OPTIONAL)

  13. To add the Privacy Policy link to the footer of the Homepage, go to the Homepage, and press Add Section. Scroll down to “Text” and choose the simplest one. Put it as low as possible on the page.

  14. Now edit the text section and change the word to say “Privacy Policy". Then highlight your text and press the Link button.

  15. On the page that comes up, link to Page on the left hand side, then choose the Privacy Policy page you created.

  16. You are now done! Feel free to save and publish your site.
